Introducing Natasha Sagardia of Puerto Rico! Natasha Sagardia entered the surfing history books, becoming the first Puerto Rican in history to win a gold medal at the ISA World Surfing Games.

Natasha Sagardia has been called the "Star of the International Surfing Association!"

Who would say that one of the greatest talents of the bodyboarding world was born in Rio Cuarto, Cordoba, hundreds of miles from the nearest beach? Not many, in fact, probably in the "football" Argentina, few are aware that one of its citizens is the current World Champion Bodyboard! Natasha Sagardia is her name and she is only 22 years old.

Her excellence in the world of sport is clearly not formed in Rio Cuarto. What happened was that when Natasha was nine years old, his parents decided to move to the "Hawaii of the Atlantic," Island of Enchantment, Puerto Rico. Soon after arriving she was gliding on the waves of the beach of the Sheraton in San Juan.

Her talent was evident and rapidly climbed the ranks at a local level, achieving seven national titles, a regional, Pan American champion in 2006 and eventually worldwide, achieving Gold in the 2008 ISA World Surfing Games in the past month October in Costa de Caparica, Portugal.

The Puerto Rican-friendly argentina had already been done with the Bronze in the World Surfing Games in Huntington Beach 2006 and was pending in the Gold Championship Portugal made a flawless, winning almost all their series this year and showing that it would not let her chance. She achieved her #l ranking and her best performance at the right time: the finals.

Facing the local Rita Pires, the Australian Lilly Pollard and Heloise French Bourroux, Natasha was the best choice of waves, the best exercises and the best strategy. She led from start to finish and when the double cornetazo sounded, crying out from the water, was charged by his teammates continued to cry until he had to stop to read:

"I can not stop mourn! I am very happy. You do not even know if this is real!"

Later, raised the flag of their homeland and moved again when the anthem of Puerto Rico she sounded strong at the top of the podium. She had achieved her dream.

Natasha Sagardia is a great example as a sportsman and as a human being. Besides being excellent gliding on the waves, as well as student, and that is graduating as BA in Political Science. On the other hand, she is the owner of her own school Bodyboarding School which stimulates the growth of bodyboarding in her homeland.

Sagardia Natasha is not only an athlete at international level that serves as an ambassador for the country it represents. Rather it is a role model and inspiration for people of all ages to feel that it is possible to achieve dreams and goals.
